The Colosseum Rome is the perpetual symbol of Rome
dating back over 2000 years - still standing the Colosseum
is one of the most instantly recogniseable symbols
in the world. This particular virtual image or 360
degree photo of the Colosseum was taken very early
in the morning at approximately 06:00 am - consequently,
the light is not great but it is still a fantastic
shot of the exterior. In the distance you can see
the Triumphial Arc of the Emperor Constantine.
To get to the colosseum from the
Park dei Massimi Hotel Rome you can get a taxi or
bus as far as Piazza Venezia and then walk down the
Fori Imperiali or Imperial Roman Forum which is closed
to traffic on a Sunday. The Colosseum in Rome is the
most visited attraction in Italy and at least a couple
of hours should be spent touring all the nooks and
crannies of its' interior - we at the Park Hotel dei
Massimi recommend that you pay for a guide who are
available for hire outside as they really know their
stuff and will wow you with some grizzly tales of
the Colosseum's shady past.
The Colosseum Rome has recently been
controversally adorned with flurooscent lights which
make it just as spectacular in the evenings....
